About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a pivotal role, responsible for leading a team of three finance staff and overseeing key financial processes. The ideal candidate must be a fully qualified accountant with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience (PQE), with a strong background in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three finance professionals.
* Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
* Own the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
* Conduct insightful variance and performance analysis to support commercial decision-making.
* Identify and drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives across finance.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and financial discipline.
* Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors as required.
* Support the FD in implementing a new branch network for TGL and relevant internal and external reporting requirements
Requirements:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Minimum of 2 years PQE in a finance or management accounting role.
* Proven experience in monthly management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and develop team members.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in Excel and financial systems
* A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
Desirable:
* Experience in Kerridge ERP
* Exposure to business partnering or strategic financial planning
