Timber Production Operator – Specialty Oak & Hardwood
As our Timber Production Operator, you’ll play a key role in timber processing and production, ensuring our products meet the highest standards. This is a practical, workshop-based role with scope to expand into custom joinery.
Responsibilities
* Operate our band mill to resaw timber to order.
* Run brushing and woodworking machines to create rustic finishes.
* Check product quality and consistency.
* Handle timber packs, stock organisation, and general workshop upkeep.
* Assist with loading/unloading timber (forklift licence a bonus).
* Contribute to custom joinery projects (joinery experience a bonus).
What we’re looking for
* Experience in timber, construction, or machinery useful — but not essential (we’ll train the right person).
* Joinery/woodworking skills highly valued.
* Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and safety awareness.
* Physically capable of handling hardwood.
* Positive, reliable, and keen to learn a craft.
