At EGGER, we create more from wood and were looking for a driven and enthusiastic undergraduate to join our Transport Planning team as part of a 12-month industrial placement.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, dynamic logistics environment within one of Europes leading wood-based materials manufacturers.
Your tasks
* Support the Transport Planning team in the coordination and scheduling of deliveries across the UK and Europe.
* Assist in route optimisation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders including suppliers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
* Analyse transport data and generate reports to support planning and decision-making.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability projects within the department.
* Gain hands-on experience with transport management systems and software (e.g. SAP, Warehouse Management Systems).
* Prepare clear, concise reports and analysis as required.
* Attend relevant training courses and internal meetings.
* Demonstrate a commercial awareness of EGGERs products, customers, markets, and production processes.
Your profile
* You have completed a minimum of 2 years of a degree or diploma in Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* High level of IT literacy, particularly in MS Excel and data analysis.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
* Confident, proactive, and enthusiastic about learning.
* Genuine interest in logistics, supply chain, and transport planning.
