Provide day-to-day support for the IBM Cognos Analytics platform, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
Monitor system health, perform routine maintenance, and ensure high availability of the Cognos environment.
Manage user access, roles, and permissions in accordance with security policies.
Collaborate with BI developers and business users to support report development and deployment.
Perform upgrades, patches, and configuration changes to the Cognos platform.
Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and support processes.
Work with infrastructure and database teams to ensure optimal integration and performance.
Support disaster recovery planning and testing for the Cognos environment.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
3+ years of experience supporting IBM Cognos Analytics (v11 or later).
Strong understanding of Cognos architecture, components, and administration.
Experience with installation, configuration, and tuning of Cognos environments.
Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, DB2) and writing SQL queries.
Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments.
Experience with Cognos SDK, automation scripts, or APIs.
Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
Exposure to cloud-based BI environments or migrations (e.g., AWS, Azure).
ITIL or similar service management framework knowledge.
