The Southampton office is now seeking a Real Estate Solicitor with 2+ years' PQE, ideally with experience or interest in Energy and Natural Resources, to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-profile energy and infrastructure transactions within a forward-thinking, supportive environment that actively promotes innovation, flexibility, and personal development.
The Role
You will be part of the national Real Estate team, with a focus on energy, infrastructure, and natural resources projects. Your responsibilities will include:
* Advising on real estate aspects of major energy and infrastructure transactions, including renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage), utilities, and natural resources
* Supporting developers, investors, and funders on the acquisition, development, and management of energy sites
* Managing land rights issues such as easements, option and lease agreements, grid connection arrangements, and access rights
* Acting for landowners and developers on land assembly and strategic land matters
* Working closely with planning, environmental, construction, and corporate colleagues on cross-disciplinary matters
* Leading transactions and supervising junior lawyers, while playing a key role in business development across the South Coast and nationally
Candidate Profile
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2+ years' PQE in Real Estate
* Experience or a strong interest in Energy and Natural Resources or infrastructure-led real estate work
* Solid technical grounding in commercial property law, ideally gained at a city or leading regional firm
* Strong commercial acumen and a pragmatic, solutions-driven approach
* Confidence in managing client relationships and contributing to business development
* A team-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for mentoring colleagues and contributing to the firm's growth
