We're seeking a committed Outreach Worker to join the team in Rochdale, supporting people who have experienced homelessness and remain within the system. You'll work with a small but complex caseload, requiring strong knowledge of local housing and support processes, and the ability to navigate multi‑agency partnerships effectively.
This is a temporary role until early 2026, with the chance to apply for the permanent position.
It's a full‑time, on‑site role (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm). We are offering hourly rates between £17.10 and £19.30
The position involves lone working and close collaboration with partner agencies, so previous experience in the field is essential - we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running.
An Enhanced DBS check is required.
Your new role
Provide direct outreach support to individuals with complex needs.
Manage a small but intensive caseload, ensuring continuity of care.
Navigate housing, benefits, and social service processes to secure support.
Liaise with local agencies, health services, and housing providers.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding and reporting requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience working with people experiencing homelessness or multiple disadvantages.
Strong understanding of housing/homelessness legislation and local processes.
Ability to manage complex cases with empathy and resilience.
Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
Organised, reliable, and able to work independently within a supportive team.
