Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Children's Physiotherapist to join the South East Kent locality team, based at the Beacon in Folkestone. As a Kent‑wide Children’s therapy service, you will work across the locality, responding to service need and demand.
Responsibilities
* Manage a mixed and varied caseload of children and young people aged 0‑19, providing specialist assessment, advice, intervention and support to children and their carers.
* Deliver physiotherapy to a complex and varied caseload of children and young people with physical needs and disabilities.
* Use specialist competence in physiotherapy assessment and intervention to deliver a safe and effective service that positively impacts the lives of children and young people.
* Support specialist clinical pathways and clinics delivered by the Physiotherapy service, including CPIPS, JAM, Orthotics and Specialist Equipment.
* Provide supervision, mentoring and support for physiotherapists and therapy assistants, living the Trust Values.
* Support children and young people in a place‑based model across clinics, home, nursery or school; timely travel is essential, so a valid driver’s licence is required.
* Engage in continuing professional development and a robust model for professional supervision.
Skills & Qualifications
* Knowledge and skills to manage a mixed caseload of children and young people 0‑19 years with physical needs and disabilities.
* Ability to carry out specialist physiotherapy assessment and intervention.
* Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to integrated working.
* Good communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
* Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and professional supervision.
