Salary: £56,000 DOE

An opportunity has become available for an Electrical Design Engineer to lead an expanding Interconnects team. As the Team Lead, you will oversee a small team, directing them in managing cable/harness work packages to develop tailored design solutions for bespoke cable designs. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will utilise customer, environmental, and technical requirements to define manufacturable solutions, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery.
You will be responsible for planning and budgeting the workload, ensuring timely design reviews and documentation creation with the relevant stakeholders. Collaborating with multiple departments and external suppliers, you will strategise, implement and enhance solutions while adeptly addressing both opportunities and challenges as they emerge.
What we're looking for:
Experience in a small team, but not a necessary requirement
Extensive experience in managing work packages, adept at balancing cost, quality, and schedule while prioritising Design for Manufacture and Design for Test principles.
Proficient in the design of interconnects, cables, and harnesses, with a deep understanding of the associated manufacturing processes
Skilled in stakeholder management, conducting thorough requirement reviews, offering technical guidance, and evaluating suppliers.
Proven history of delivering projects on schedule, coupled with strong verbal and written communication abilities.Due to the nature of the business, this particular vacancy requires the applicant as a minimum to be a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship and capable of achieving the clearance levels mentioned above
