What will you be doing?
Trustee Director Responsibilities All Trustees share collective responsibility for the charity's success and governance. As a Trustee Director, you will Hold overall responsibility for the charity's work and strategic direction. Always act in the charity's best interests, ensuring decisions reflect our mission. Oversee sustainability and financial health. Anticipate future risks and opportunities to support resilience. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Be accountable for decisions and performance. Monitor progress toward strategic goals and impact. Support a well-functioning and effective Board. Fundraising Trustee Responsibilities In addition to the above, you will Provide strategic direction for fundraising aligned with Dingley's values. Act as a critical friend to the CEO and Head of Fundraising, offering challenge and support. Help unlock new funding opportunities through your network. Ensure fundraising is ethical, effective, and compliant. Promote fundraising at Board level and across the organisation. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with Fundraising experience in areas such as major donors, trusts/foundations, corporate partnerships, or digital/community campaigns. A strategic mindset and strong communication skills. Willingness to leverage your network for the charity. A personal commitment to our values inclusion, innovation, and impact. Time Commitment Attend Board meetings every two months. Visit at least one Centre per term. (Optional) Join a Board subcommittee (meets bi-monthly). Prepare for meetings in advance. Attend fundraising and donor events (often out of hours). Participate in team events (e.g., Annual Day, Christmas party). Join one in-person away day annually. Offer informal support (approx. 2–3 hrs/month).
