We’re hiring dynamic Business Development Manager to join our Sales team at World Courier in the UK. In this role, you’ll be responsible for increasing top-line revenue growth and profitability by selling products and services towards new and some existing clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain and develop a positive and mutually beneficial business relationship to through evaluating and understanding market/client needs and requirements

2. Preserve and expand client database within your territory by actively using various customer sales methods; meetings, cold calling, presentations, trade shows, seminars etc.

3. Deliver agreed sales targets (revenue and activity) and outcomes within schedule

4. Promote the company’s products/services with clients’ objectives and requirements in mind

5. Drive business and growth primarily with new clients through various sales instruments; meetings, cold calls, emails, events, seminars etc.

6. Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market and conduct research to identify new markets and needs

7. Follow up on all leads and opportunities generated through various channels (e.g. marketing)

8. Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers through a strategic and planned approach.

9. Create account plans and execute following these plans.

10. Present our company to potential clients & audience during tradeshows, seminars & events.

11. Attend internal meeting, sales events and training's to keep abreast of the latest developments

12. Address customer concerns and complaints and collaborate with internal departments to rectify.

13. Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment as well as newest developments in the market and new products or services of the own company as well as of the competition

14. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. sales, OPS/CS, senior management, CGT, Commercial) to address customers’ needs and to drive business opportunities.

15. Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

16. Actively use and record all sales activities (meetings, calls, emails, leads, opportunities, events) in our CRM system Salesforce.

17. Accept queries from customers and writes offers with the support of BD team

18. Controls that agreement and accounts terms are met from both parties e.g. payment terms, tariffs and volumes.

REQUIREMENTS:

19. Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role

20. Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales

21. Understands important of and has no issues with cold calling

22. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)

23. Market knowledge (life science or logistics)

24. Communication and negotiation skills

25. Time management and planning skills

26. Advanced ability in building productive business relationships

27. Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills

28. Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs

29. Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management

30. Fluency in English. Written and verbal communication skills
