AGI is looking for a driven New Business Development Manager to spearhead growth across mainly cross channel road freight. You’ll be the engine behind new customer acquisition, hunting for opportunities, building strong pipelines, and converting leads into long-term, profitable partnerships.
What You’ll Do
* Win new, regular-trading customers across all freight modes, warehousing, and customs services.
* Own the full sales cycle – from prospecting and cold outreach to negotiation and closing.
* Identify untapped markets and sectors to expand AGI’s reach and market share.
* Negotiate profitable rates and ensure strong GP performance per account.
* Collaborate with operations and account management for seamless client onboarding.
* Maintain key relationships post-sale to support retention and upsell opportunities.
* Travel for client visits, networking, and industry events to strengthen partnerships.
What You’ll Bring
* Min 2+ years of proven success in international freight forwarding or logistics new business sales.
* Deep understanding of transport and global supply chain dynamics.
* A proactive “hunter” mindset with resilience, drive, and commercial awareness.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and CRM proficiency.
* A collaborative approach and commitment to achieving and exceeding KPIs.
