Mobile Fitter – Bracknell Branch
Due to business growth we are looking for a Mobile Fitter to join our team at the Bracknell branch. Your role will involve diesel engine and pump maintenance on customer sites and in the branch workshop, as part of a call‑out rota with standby allowance and excellent overtime payment.
Responsibilities
* Work safely with priority, using the required PPE.
* Communicate accurately with colleagues and customers.
* Obtain site signatures and names to ensure smooth processing of tasks.
* Maintain a good standard of housekeeping – keep work areas and vehicles tidy.
* Complete daily vehicle defect reports for safety.
* Carry out all tasks as instructed or as per training within a timely manner.
* Show understanding of company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
* Demonstrable experience of working with engines or a mechanical engineering background, understanding underlying issues and resolving them.
* Experience working in a plant environment, on site with customers and in a workshop.
* Good listening skills and ability to translate information into practical solutions.
* Willingness to grow within the role, openness to training and learning new skills.
* Full UK driving licence (6 points or less). This role involves attending site visits and breakdowns.
