About the Role
Lincolnshire is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Children’s Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner with experience across Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC) casework.
You will be responsible for undertaking a range of assessments, managing statutory plans, and working collaboratively with families and partner agencies to ensure children’s safety, wellbeing, and long-term outcomes remain at the heart of all interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload involving Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC) cases.
- Complete comprehensive Child and Family Assessments.
- Undertake Parenting Assessments, Sibling Assessments, and Risk and Protective Carers Assessments.
- Develop, implement, and review Child in Need and Child Protection Plans.
- Prepare high-quality assessments, reports, and documentation for both Public and Private Law proceedings.
- Participate in court processes and contribute to legal planning where required.
- Work closely with children, families, and multi‑agency partners to develop robust plans that promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes.
- Ensure the child’s voice, welfare, and lived experience remain central to all decision‑making and intervention planning.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Experience managing CIN, CP, and CIC cases within a statutory children’s services setting.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, including experience undertaking specialist assessments.
- Knowledge and experience of Public and Private Law proceedings.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi‑agency environment.
- Excellent communication, report‑writing, and case management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding children and achieving positive outcomes for families.
