QA Technician
Peterborough, UK
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct quality sampling, analysis & reporting for raw materials, work in progress, finished products and environmental samples.
2. Timely and accurate maintenance of data systems to ensure compliance to traceability standards and key performance indicators.
3. Support of sensory activities: taste panels, sample preparation, sample collection, sample submissions, processing of results.
4. Adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP), good laboratory practices (GLP) and master cleaning schedules (MCS).
5. Compliance with Company, third party and Customer standards demonstrated by successful completion of Inter-lab proficiency schemes, routine refresher training and competency assessments.
6. Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.
7. Support with complaint investigations, analysing data and providing information as required.
8. Involvement in root cause analysis processes for site, representing QA / sensory and providing expertise for their area.
9. Conducting internal audits (quality systems, food safety, glass and Health & Safety).
CANDIDATE PROFILE
10. Experience in a manufacturing environment working within QA / Sensory.
11. Practical experience of Good Laboratory Practices.
12. Further educated to HNC or equivalent in a science subject (preferably chemistry / biochemistry).
13. Fluency and confidency using Outlook, MS Teams, Share point, MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Powint)
14. Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
15. Good written and verbal communication skills.
16. Ability to interact with multiple levels within the business as well as with external contactors.
17. Working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
18. Attention to detail.
19. Ability to interpret analytical and microbiological data.
