This is a brilliant opportunity to join our client, a well‑established, expanding multidisciplinary consultancy dedicated to broadening their geographical reach by opening a brand new office location in Bonnie Scotland. Known for lending their expertise to a number of high‑profile projects across landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering, they are currently searching for a talented Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design who is willing to take on a variety of new and challenging projects. You will work alongside a newly‑established team of design experts based near the vibrant, multicultural city of Glasgow.

Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design of infrastructure projects and developments across the local region and beyond
* Oversee the day‑to‑day running of various projects, from inception through to successful delivery/implementation
* Mentor and support colleagues' professional development
* Liaise with clients and other stakeholders across the public and private sectors
* Prepare and check technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and more
* Adhere to company policies, procedures, and best practice, ensuring you uphold the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
* Act as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, etc.
Required skills and experience
* A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or a similar subject)
* Chartered status with a recognised professional body (e.g., ICE)
* Extensive experience in a design‑based role within a UK‑based consultancy or Local Authority setting
* Significant experience of working on infrastructure (particularly highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects
* Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
* Proficiency in the use of software systems (including Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, etc.)
* Significant experience of writing and checking a variety of technical documents
* Demonstrable experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders within the industry
* Outstanding organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience
* A Higher Degree in a relevant discipline
* Experience of authoring Flood Risk and/or Transport Assessments
* Experience of leading projects/teams
* Experience of working in a public‑facing role
* Full, valid UK driving licence
