To lead and manage the Dietetic service for the Medicine division, overseeing inpatient caseloads across Medicine, Critical Care, Acute Admissions, and Surgical wards, ensuring effective clinical and service delivery. To act as a source of expertise for other dietitians, provide guidance on patient care, and contribute to service development, pathway improvements, and departmental initiatives. To conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments, implement individualised treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and provide input in parenteral nutrition rounds alongside Nutrition Practitioners and Pharmacists. To manage line management responsibilities, including supervising and supporting junior staff, conducting performance reviews, participating in recruitment, and leading student placements and inductions. To collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, community dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe discharge, continuity of care, and adherence to clinical guidelines, including HCPC standards and safeguarding protocols. To maintain accurate documentation, implement evidence-based policies, participate in strategic and operational meetings, engage in CPD activities, and contribute to professional networks and departmental initiatives.
