* Annual deep cleaning of hospitals and clinics, including all rooms, furniture, fixtures, and floors.
* Reactive decontamination following infectious discharges, such as UV and fogging treatments.

* Flexibility to support other areas, including clinical environments, as needed.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide efficient housekeeping services, responding rapidly to departmental and Trust needs.
We offer both full-time and part-time positions at Harefield Hospital.

Job responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
* Reactive tasks, including deployment of HPV and UV-C decontamination in clinical/non-clinical areas.
* Vacuuming, dusting, damp mopping, machine buffing, and spray cleaning of floors and furniture.
* Cleaning toilets, sinks, baths, showers, urinals, and removing bodily fluids as per procedures.
* Disposing of waste safely and correctly.
* Replenishing consumables like towels, soap, and toilet rolls.
* Using heavy-duty cleaning equipment, including steam cleaners and floor machines.
* Reporting defects or faults.
* Staying contactable during shifts and responding to emergency requests.
* Maintaining records of activities and data input.
* Managing stock levels and reporting needs.
* Following infection control, health & safety protocols.
* Assisting with store and equipment movement.
* Performing other cleaning duties as required.
Health and Safety
* Taking reasonable care to avoid accidents or injuries.
* Using protective equipment provided.
* Complying with health and safety guidelines.
General Issues
* Wearing the correct uniform and displaying ID badges.
* Adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
* Training provided; do not perform tasks without training.
* Attending mandatory training.

Qualifications/Education
* Good command of spoken English.
Previous Experience
* Housekeeping in healthcare.
* Deep cleaning in healthcare.
Skills/Knowledge/Ability
* Team player, effective communicator.
* Organized, able to prioritize.
* Willing to learn and attend training.
* Accurate record-keeping.
* Time management skills.
* Computer skills.
* Training in peroxide vapor and UV decontamination.
Physical Requirements
* Physically capable of duties, manual handling compliant.
