Part-Time Accounts Assistant Location: Wilmslow Hours: Part-time, 25-30 hours per week Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 (pro rata, depending on experience) We are delighted to be recruiting exclusively for an Accounts Assistant on behalf of a brilliant business in Wilmslow. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking to grow their friendly and collaborative finance team. This is a part-time role (25-30 hours per week) and would suit someone who is highly organised, self-motivated, and has a good understanding in an all-rounded Accounts Assistant role Key Responsibilities: Daily bookkeeping using Xero across multiple group entities Managing the Purchase Ledger, including processing and resolving invoice queries Performing accurate and timely Bank Reconciliations Managing the full Credit Control process, including chasing overdue payments and liaising with clients Liaising with solicitors and debt recovery agents for aged debt, when necessary Assisting with Sales Ledger tasks as a back-up (not a frequent responsibility) Setting up new clients in Xero and internal invoicing systems Collaborating with internal teams to provide financial documentation and reports Person Specification: Proficient in Xero accounting software is desired Experience in a similar Finance role Is confident handling the Purchase Ledger Can complete Bank Reconciliations accurately and efficiently Has proven experience managing Credit Control Can provide back-up for Sales Ledger tasks occasionally Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Great communication skills This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business in a varied and responsible role, with flexibility to suit your work-life balance.
