The Company:
We are partnering with a fast-growing fintech organisation based in Cardiff city centre, delivering innovative digital financial solutions across the UK and internationally. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Sales Ledger Clerk to join their expanding finance team.

The Role:
This is a hybrid position, with 3 days per week in the Cardiff city centre office and 2 days working from home.
You will play a key role within the Accounts Receivable team, with a strong focus on sales ledger, billing accuracy, and customer account management, while also supporting credit control activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing the sales ledger function across a high-volume customer base
2. Raising and issuing invoices in line with client agreements
3. Allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts
4. Supporting the collection of outstanding payments and reducing aged debt
5. Investigating and resolving invoice and billing queries
6. Maintaining accurate records across finance systems
7. Producing aged debtor reports and supporting cash flow tracking
8. Building strong relationships with customers to improve payment performance
9. Liaising with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and smooth processes
10. Supporting continuous improvement of systems and processes
Candidate Profile:
Essential
11. Previous experience in Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable, or Credit Control
12. Strong understanding of billing, invoicing, and cash allocation
13. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
14. Strong communication skills
15. Good Excel and finance systems experience
Desirable
16. Experience within fintech, tech, or fast-paced commercial environments
17. Exposure to systems such as Xero, Sage, or NetSuite
18. Experience with high-volume or multi-entity ledgers
19. Proactive and process-improvement mindset
