Early Years Educator / Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) – Forest School
Location: Longhope, Gloucestershire Salary: £28,080 - £30,500 + per annum (DOE) Hours: Full-time or Part-time available (e.g. 40 hours over 4 days)
About Our Forest School
Do you love the outdoors and want to inspire young children through nature?
We’re a warm, welcoming Forest School nursery in Longhope, where learning happens through mud kitchens, woodland walks, fresh air, and exploration. Our approach encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence in children aged 0–5.
We’re now looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our team. Whether you're experienced or newly qualified, we’d love to support you on your journey and help you grow in a nurturing, outdoor-focused environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Creating Outdoor Learning Experiences
* Plan and deliver fun, engaging activities linked to the EYFS, with a strong focus on outdoor and nature-based learning
* Support children to explore, take safe risks, and build confidence through Forest School experiences
Supporting Your Key Children
* Build strong, trusting relationships with your key children and their families
* Observe and track development, celebrating every milestone
Keeping Children Safe & Happy
* Maintain excellent safeguarding, health, and safety standards
* Help create a safe space where children feel secure to explore and learn
Daily Care & Routines
* Support with meals, personal care, and outdoor play (whatever the weather!)
Being Part of a Team
* Work closely with a supportive, friendly team
* Communicate with parents and professionals to provide the best care
What We’re Looking For
* Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare (NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent)
* A genuine love for working outdoors and with young children
* Basic understanding of EYFS (full support provided for newly qualified staff)
* Experience is great, but not essential – we welcome newly qualified candidates!
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
