Job Description
The Real Estate Consulting (REC) team is expanding as we grow our portfolio across public and private sectors. Our team includes experts in Asset Management, Business Case development, Benefits Management, Corporate Real Estate, and Change Management, delivering on some of the world’s largest projects.
We seek an experienced Senior Consultant to support Defence and Healthcare sector projects, focusing on benefits management, business case, and real estate strategies for key clients.
Reporting to the Benefits Management Lead, you will manage multiple projects, work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Recent projects include setting up and managing a benefits management function for the Defence Estate Optimisation Portfolio and NHS England’s New Hospital Programme. We also develop funding applications, business cases, and innovative property portfolio solutions.
Your Background
You should demonstrate experience in one or more of the following:
* Benefits Management in major programmes or portfolios
* Working on built environment projects as a senior consultant or project manager
* Strategic Estates or Business Case authoring
* Transformational programmes in defence, healthcare, or government sectors
Essential Functions
* Understanding benefits, their derivation through Business Cases, and their importance within programmes
* Engaging with client leadership, conducting interviews, workshops, analyzing benefits data, and presenting findings
* Translating business processes into baselines, targets, and KPIs
* Managing project commissions, resources, invoicing, and client communications
* Developing options, finalising project concepts, and preparing approval documents
* Supporting thought leadership and market positioning for Benefits Management consulting
* Identifying consulting opportunities and contributing to bid proposals
Skills
* Knowledge of Benefits and Business Case contexts
* Experience with Benefits Management at programme or portfolio level, including governance
* Strategic planning and project management skills
* Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
* Data analysis, critical thinking, and presentation skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
* Ability to work independently and in teams within matrix environments
Qualifications
* 5+ years in Benefits Management, Business Case development, Defence initiatives, or Business Analysis
* Degree preferred but not mandatory
* Professional qualifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, MRICS, APM, Better Business Cases, or similar
* Experience with project management or real estate consulting projects
* Experience with data technologies and benefits/real estate solutions in corporate settings
* Stakeholder engagement in complex environments
