We are seeking an inspirational and dedicated Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of our home. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to safeguarding and empowering vulnerable young people, while also contributing to a positive and supportive staff culture.
The Deputy Manager will play a key role in ensuring high standards of care and compliance, leading by example, and creating a home where children feel safe, valued, and supported to achieve their full potential.

Assist the Registered Manager in the daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and internal policies.

Lead, supervise, and support a team of residential care workers, ensuring they deliver outstanding care and consistent routines.
Build trusted relationships with children, creating a homely environment that is nurturing, structured, and trauma-informed.
Participate in care planning and risk assessments, ensuring each child’s needs and progress are clearly documented and acted upon.
Support recruitment, training, and development of staff, promoting a culture of learning, accountability, and care.
Deputise for the Registered Manager during periods of absence.
Promote a culture of loyalty, professionalism, and commitment to continuous improvement and child-focused outcomes.
A passionate individual who is genuinely committed to improving the lives of children in care.
Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Level 5 or willingness to work towards it is highly desirable.
At least 2 years of experience in a residential childcare setting, including supervisory or leadership experience.
Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, children's legislation (including Children’s Homes Regulations 2015), and Ofsted expectations.
A flexible and proactive approach to work, including availability for on-call duties, weekends, and shift work as needed.

Ongoing training and development opportunities, including support with Level 5 qualifications.
Competitive salary with enhancements for sleep-ins (if applicable).
Recognition for your hard work and commitment through rewards and staff wellbeing initiatives.

If you are ready to take the next step in your career and are passionate about creating positive change in young people’s lives, we would love to hear from you.
