Personal Assistant – Occupiers/Public Liability Team
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 DOE
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:30am–5:30pm | Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide dedicated support to a Partner within our well-established Occupiers/Public Liability department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal secretary or PA who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional support and client service.
The Role
As a Personal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Partner with day-to-day administrative and secretarial duties. You’ll manage correspondence, organise diaries, liaise with clients, and ensure that the department runs smoothly and efficiently. This role offers the chance to work within a friendly, professional team where your organisational skills and attention to detail will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities

Produce correspondence and legal documents through audio typing and word processing.

Manage digital filing systems, including opening and closing client files.
*
Organise diaries, schedule meetings, and arrange appointments.
*
Provide professional client support both in person and over the phone, ensuring a high standard of client care.

Assist colleagues across the wider secretarial and administrative team as required.
*
Maintain confidentiality at all times and uphold the firm’s professional standards.
Experience and Skills Required
*
Previous legal secretarial or PA experience (personal injury or civil litigation preferred).
*
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
*
Fast and accurate audio typing (65+ words per minute desirable).
*
Excellent written communication skills, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
*
Familiarity with court forms, pleadings, and case management systems (Proclaim advantageous).
*
Experience using digital dictation systems (BigHand preferred).
*
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
*
Professional and friendly manner, with a strong commitment to client service and teamwork.
