Role Overview
This Business Analyst role is an integral part of the Equity delivery team within TP ICAP Technology Change Management. The primary responsibility of this role is to elicit, analyse and communicate detailed business and operational requirements to enable change across TP ICAP IT systems. The goal is to ensure these changes align strategically with the needs and expectations of stakeholders from multiple business units.
Role Responsibilities
1. Work closely with the Product Managers/ Product Owners/ Development to design and build quality software solutions that align to the IT strategy/vision
2. Take Ownership/Accountability for development of key features and drive to completion.
3. Lead in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, challenging problem statements to deliver clear requirement documentation to allow scope and prioritisation
4. Support the team through governance of defining scope and guiding estimation of work to be done by leveraging domain and business knowledge
5. Communicate effectively on progress and ensure impediments, risks and dependencies are tracked and raised early to minimise impact to the delivery.
6. Assist team members to understand the focus and delivery value of each milestone and each release
7. Be proactive in supporting the team’s engagement in a well-defined SDLC that supports planning, prioritisation and delivery needs
8. Deliver against both Functional and Non-functional requirements.
9. Manage ad-hoc tasks as required
Experience / Competences
Essential
10. Proven experience operating as a business analyst, preferably with finance or trading background
11. Knowledge of trading applications, order management and understanding of full trade lifecycle
12. Understanding of the full project life cycle from requirements capture through to implementation, testing and delivery
13. Ability to work on a variety of projects whilst managing multiple deadlines and differing priorities
14. Demonstrate ability to illicit and articulate requirements between business and IT stakeholders
15. Adept at working in Agile/ Agile SAFe delivery environment, exhibiting strong communication skills including collaboration with local and remote team members
16. Knowledgeable in Jira or similar issue management system.
17. Appreciation of the full SDLC and driving the importance of quality throughout this process.
18. Contribute to functional testing of developed features to ensure these meet the delivery criteria
19. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
20. Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive and independent approach to problem solving and innovative solutions.

26. Background and experience of Equity and Equity derivative products
27. Knowledge of trade and order management
28. Familiarity of FIX and trade messaging protocols
29. Experience with TDD, BDD or similar approaches to specifying requirements and design.
