Lorien's leading banking client is looking for an experienced iNet Engineer to join the expanding team on a contract basis.
Reporting to the UK iNet Team Leader, the iNet Level 3 Engineer is part of the team that is responsible for the technical support of the technologies that sit above the network layer.
These services are provided to the bank between the hours of 0730 - 1930 Monday to Friday. The iNet Support - "Level 3" engineer acts as escalation point for technical issues regarding iNet technology platforms and works jointly with other infrastructure teams for delivering projects and implementing required changes in the iNet technology platforms.
The Ideal candidate will come from a Infrastructure Security Background, with experience in Real time/Mission Critical Environment within a regulated environment (Trading/Banking/Streaming/Gambling/Defence
This role is based in London.
This role will be Via Umbrella.
Working in a Hybrid Model of 2-3 days a week on site.
Key Skills and Experience
The technical skills required for this position are as follows:
1. Checkpoint Firewall-1.
2. General knowledge of Checkpoint Firewall-1, R81.10 or above running on ClusterXL High Availability configurations.
3. Fortinet Firewall.
4. General knowledge of Fortinet OS 7.2 or above running on High Availability configurations.
5. SkyHigh Web Gateway 12 or above & Bluecoat proxy software.
6. F5 Big IP - Load Traffic Manager & GTM.
7. General knowledge LTM/GTM appliances running V16 or above.
8. Infoblox DNS/DHCP
9. General knowledge of DNS, DHCP and IPAM IP management.
10. Monitoring Tools
11. General knowledge of monitoring tools and SNMP alerts configuration.
Day to day technical responsibilities for this role:
12. Firewalls troubleshooting. Identify FW issues related to access policy, NATing rules and routing when troubleshooting connectivity problems.
13. Firewall system maintenance and lifecycle management - Firewall code upgrades and hardware replacements.
14. Firewall VPN connections - setup and troubleshooting.
15. F5 Local Traffic Manager & GTM administration and troubleshooting.
16. Perform troubleshooting for internet browsing issues separating potential proxy issues from desktop/client problems.
17. Proxy whitelist/blacklist administration.
18. DNS Record management. Creation/Deletion/Updates.
19. DHCP scope lease management.
20. DNS troubleshooting
21. Performs morning and evening system checks for iNet systems.
22. Maintains alert configuration on monitoring systems updating SNMP parameters when required.
23. Correlates physical items with assets inventories.
24. Update system documentation & technical diagrams, when required.
25. Escalate risks / issues to line management.
