About the Service

Our service at Guyra Community Health Service delivers a wide range of community-based health programs to support patients in their homes and local environments. You’ll work alongside a compassionate team of professionals who provide care across areas such as wound management, palliative care, chronic disease management, and post-acute care, helping patients stay healthy and independent where they live.

We pride ourselves on a supportive, close-knit team culture where every member’s contribution is valued. You’ll enjoy strong professional relationships, shared learning, and an inclusive environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.

About the Role

As a Community Registered Nurse, you’ll have the opportunity to provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care across a variety of settings. Your days will be diverse and rewarding — visiting patients at home, providing wound care, delivering palliative and post-surgical support, coordinating care plans, and engaging with families and carers to promote recovery and wellbeing.

This is the perfect opportunity for a nurse who enjoys autonomy, flexibility, and connection with the local community. You won’t be alone in this role! You will be supported every step of the way through an extensive orientation program, you’ll have access to ongoing education, mentoring and training opportunities through our Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Educators and other experienced colleagues. Whether you’re building on existing expertise or developing new skills in community nursing, you’ll be part of a workplace that values your growth and encourages your professional development.

Why Guyra Could Be the Place for You

Nestled high on the Northern Tablelands, Guyra offers a truly unique regional lifestyle — crisp air, dramatic seasons, and clear skies. With its strong agricultural roots — think lamb, potatoes, vine-ripened tomatoes, beef, wool — the town celebrates its produce and local community all year round with festivals, markets, and strong community spirit.

Amenities are friendly and accessible — you’ll find cafes, local shops, community clubs, and strong social ties. It’s a place where you can balance meaningful work with a slower pace of life, affordable living, and a genuine connection to people and place.

We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse who is committed to continuous learning and providing exceptional patient care.

You’ll bring:

* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* NSW Driver’s license with a willingness to travel
* A willingness to gain new skills and expand your clinical expertise
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A patient-centred approach grounded in respect, empathy, and professionalism

Experience in community health, wound care, or palliative nursing is highly regarded but not essential — what matters most is your enthusiasm to learn, grow, and make a difference.
