We invite a talented, high‑performing Manager to join the Corporate Reporting team in the Audit Quality Department (AQD) during an exciting period of growth. You will report into the Team Partners and work closely with Directors and Senior Managers.
Responsibilities
* Work with Managers, Directors and Partners within AQD, The Audit Stream and across the wider firm.
* Maintain and encourage an open and constructive environment for technical accounting support and advice.
* Bring pre‑existing technical knowledge to the CRT team and contribute to all output areas.
* Provide support and supervision to the more junior team members.
* Technical review of a personal portfolio of annual reports of publicly traded and other higher risk companies, working with the audit team to confirm compliance with financial reporting standards, company legislation and regulatory requirements.
* Work with Directors and Senior Managers to provide clear and practical solutions to technical financial reporting queries.
* Assist in the preparation and presentation of internal financial reporting training, updates and seminars.
* Write articles and other materials on financial reporting matters for internal communications.
* Monitor external developments in specific corporate reporting areas, report back to the team and work with Senior Managers to develop an appropriate action plan where required.
* Contribute to AQD‑wide projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
* ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent, preferably with at least 2 years PQE.
* Previously a Manager or Assistant Manager in a technical team or other relevant experience in technical financial reporting, e.g. within audit.
* Practical experience performing reviews of annual reports; experience of listed company annual reports desirable.
* Working knowledge and awareness of IFRSs, UK GAAP, the Companies Act and the wider financial reporting environment.
* Ability to apply technical knowledge to complex financial reporting issues.
* Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to build productive relationships.
* Willingness to work as part of a close‑knit team and as a self‑directed individual.
* Highly motivated and proactive, with a desire to innovate and improve services to internal customers.
* Genuine desire to continue developing corporate reporting skillset and knowledge.
