Overview
An established and respected planning consultancy in Solihull is looking for an experienced Principal Town Planner to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level planner to take the lead on a wide range of projects across the residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.
Key Responsibilities
·Manage and lead planning applications, appeals, and inquiries across a variety of development projects
·Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes
·Prepare planning appraisals, policy representations, and environmental assessments
·Provide strategic advice to clients on planning and development matters
·Represent clients at planning committees, hearings, and public consultations
·Support and mentor junior team members
Requirements
·MRTPI qualified (or equivalent)
·Strong track record in town planning (public or private sector)
·Excellent understanding of UK planning legislation and policy
·Confident communicator with strong report writing and presentation skills
·Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
·Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
