Clinical Support Worker – Children's 0‑19 Health Service
Salary: £32,535 – £33,987 per annum (inclusive of the high‑cost area supplement). This is a fixed‑term, 1‑year position. The post may attract a market supplement to facilitate salary alignment with current equivalent AfC pay grade if applicable.
Location: London Borough of Newham, Greater London.

The Newham 0‑19 Health Service aims to ensure every child enjoys the same opportunities and life chances as their peers across the capital. In 2021, the Service received a Good rating across all areas from the Care Quality Commission.
Role Overview
As a Clinical Support Worker, you will support the delivery of high‑quality care across the borough, working alongside Health Visitors, School Nurses, Registered Nurses, Nursery Nurses and other skilled professionals. You will help assess health needs and contribute to services that make a real difference to individuals and the wider community.
Responsibilities
* Be the first point of contact for service users.
* Support health assessments and clinics across a variety of community settings, including Children’s Centres, Health Centres, GP practices, schools and community venues.
* Play a key administrative role within the CHIS Team, ensuring smooth and secure exchange of clinical data and handling of sensitive health records.
* Collect and input essential health data that informs service planning and identifies local health needs for children and young people.
* Use clinical systems, administrative IT systems, email and internet.
* Demonstrate understanding and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion principles.
