Digital Manager
The Growth Company’s (GC) Marketing Manchester team have an exciting new opportunity for a Digital Manager who will play a key part in developing and delivering a content and social media strategy to fulfil Marketing Manchester’s goal of promoting Greater Manchester to a global audience as an outstanding place to visit, invest, meet and study. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a team of content creators to source and develop high-quality content across a range of formats, to utilise across all digital channels in order to maintain Marketing Manchester’s position as a cutting-edge organisation.
Marketing Manchester is the agency that promotes Greater Manchester nationally and internationally as a place to visit, invest, meet and study. Our work is an essential component to successfully raise the profile of the city-region as the gateway to the North and improve global perceptions and city ranking. Marketing Manchester also delivers the promotion for Greater Manchester’s priority sectors including the creative industries, low carbon, advanced manufacturing, and digital and tech, as well as supporting Invest Manchester, Greater Manchester’s inward investment agency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for creating and sourcing high-quality content to utilise across all digital channels, including written, video, photography, and more, to maintain Marketing Manchester’s position as a cutting-edge DMO.
2. Research, deliver, optimise, and report on national and international digital campaigns across both leisure and business audiences in order to promote Manchester as a great place to visit, meet, invest, and study.
3. Delivery of digital elements of Marketing Manchester’s partner activity across tourism, hospitality and leisure, business tourism, and other stakeholders and partners, across all digital channels including website, video, email, and social media.
4. Managing content on various websites including, but not limited to, landing pages, business listings, events and more.
5. Liaise with key stakeholders and partners to identify shared goals and collaborations to embed Marketing Manchester activity in future planning
6. Supporting Marketing Manchester’s affiliate marketing strategy to identify opportunities and meet set commercial KPIs.
7. Developing rich written content and implementing SEO strategies to ensure that content performs well and meets agreed objectives.
8. Ensuring that all partner activity is accurately and efficiently logged in Marketing Manchester’s CRM, and the quality of data is maintained.
9. Ensure that Marketing Manchester’s digital presence is exploited to its full potential to maximise revenue generation and to meet KPIs.
10. Identify opportunities to harness technology, digital opportunities and trends in consumer interaction with digital platforms to implement across the organisation and deliver increased performance.
11. Develop and implement the strategy for Marketing Manchester’s digital platforms to maximise use and engagement.
12. Maximise online conversion through effective customer journeys and stakeholder engagement.
13. Represent Marketing Manchester in appropriate networks and forums and raise the profile of digital activities being undertaken by Marketing Manchester.
