Our consultants work on some of the UKs largest and most complex transformation programmes, delivering meaningful change with measurable social, economic, and environmental benefits. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced

Social Value Lead

to design, deliver, and report on the social value strategy for a high-profile Defence programme. This role is integral to ensuring the project delivers long-term benefits to communities, the supply chain, and the wider UK economy, in line with the

UK Government Social Value Model

and procurement requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a

Social Value strategy

aligned with MOD and Government Social Value priorities. Engage with local authorities, supply chain partners, and community stakeholders to maximise programme impact. Deliver and monitor measurable outcomes such as: Jobs created and sustained Apprenticeships and training opportunities Community engagement and volunteering Environmental and sustainability initiatives Lead social value reporting for bid submissions and ongoing post-award performance monitoring. Use recognised measurement frameworks (e.g.,

National TOMs, Social Value Portal, or Social Value UK standards) to track performance. Provide strategic guidance to internal teams, embedding social value into programme delivery. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience leading social value or CSR strategies in Defence, infrastructure, or other large-scale, complex programmes. Knowledge of social value measurement and reporting frameworks (e.g.,

SROI, Social Value International practitioner standards). Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and impact storytelling abilities. Security Clearance Applicants must hold active

SC Clearance

due to the nature of the programme. Contract Details Duration: 12 months (4 x 3-month stages)
