Head Chef - Boutique Hotel - £60,000 - East Sussex Area - Live-In Available
Key Information:
* Salary: up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
* Hours: Full-time, 5/7 days, 48-50 hours per week
* Location: Eastbourne outskirts; must be able to drive. Live-in accommodation available (temporary basis, up to 3 months)
* Contract: Permanent
The Role:
Our client is a fabulous boutique hotel situated in the Eastbourne area, seeking a Head Chef to join their team. The restaurant offers a superb selection of fresh, locally sourced dishes served daily. The company provides excellent career development and progression opportunities.
The position includes temporary accommodation; own transport is highly desirable due to the remote location.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Writing menus and developing the kitchen brigade
2. Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards
3. Training and developing junior team members
4. Understanding P&L and budgeting aspects
5. Managing food stocks within budget constraints
6. Maintaining food preparation standards and controls
Requirements:
* Experience at Sous Chef level in a fresh food-led or fine dining/rosette-standard restaurant
* Qualified chef
* Passionate about food
* Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to elevate operations
Rewards:
* Salary up to £60,000
* Temporary live-in accommodation at low cost for relocating candidates (up to 3 months)
