We are delighted to be supporting an established and long standing organisation in their search for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Buyer. This role is to join their procurement team in the Grantham area. The Buyer will play a pivotal role in the day to day running of the purchasing for production, maintaining optimal inventory levels, reducing costs, and fostering strategic supplier relationships.
Senior Buyer duties:
* Direct material purchasing and maintaining purchasing activities.
* Support with supplier management & performance monitoring.
* Ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services
* Negotiation - reducing costs, contract negotiation & supplier agreements.
* Risk management
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
This is an office based role primarily but can offer 1-2 days hybrid working, the successful candidate will be based in Grantham working Monday to Friday 8.15am – 5pm and early 3pm finish Fridays.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in purchasing, procurement, buying within supply chain management and ERP systems to contribute to our organization's efficiency and growth.
Essential:
* Excellent Communication & people skills, being able to manage Key stake holders – internal and External.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office – especially word and excel.
* Having worked in a Purchasing Environment
* Strong Influencing Skills and ability to Challenge.
