SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Location: Plymouth
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
We are currently recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work full time in schools across Plymouth, supporting children with additional needs.
This is a rewarding, hands-on role suited to someone confident working with pupils who require consistent, patient, and structured support.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 or small-group basis
Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to support learning and behaviour
Assisting pupils with engagement, emotional regulation, and classroom routines
Implementing strategies from EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour plans
Supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom where required
Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience working with children or young people with SEN
Confident supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs
Must be able to drive
Business-use car insurance required (or willingness to obtain it)
Reliable, patient, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
8:30am – 3:30pm
Term-time only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
