The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Operations division as a CGA Assistants Manager!

The experience of the attending Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) is central to the success of Glasgow 2026. Each CGA is responsible for preparing and supporting its athletes and officials, and it is the role of the Organising Committee to ensure they are welcomed, informed, and supported throughout their Games journey.

As CGA Assistants Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional experience for every athlete and team official. Working alongside the CGA Services Senior Manager, you’ll be a key point of contact for CGA Assistants, supporting their operational delivery across the Games.

You will also oversee the coordination, and daily guidance of CGA Relations & Team Services volunteers — the friendly faces ensuring our visiting teams feel welcomed, informed, and fully supported.

This is a highly collaborative role that brings people, logistics, and problem-solving together — perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and takes pride in delivering outstanding client service.

This is your chance to work at the heart of a world-class event, collaborating with passionate professionals and visionary leaders to showcase Glasgow on the global stage.

Job Summary:

As a key member of the CGA Relations team, the CGA Assistants Manager will help deliver seamless and professional support to all Commonwealth Games Associations throughout their journey to and during Glasgow 2026.

You will play an integral, guest-focused role in ensuring that every volunteer is able to support CGAs, and they feel welcomed, informed, and confidently supported — coordinating services, managing information flow, and responding to operational needs to help create a positive, memorable, and fully inclusive Games experience for athletes and officials from across the Commonwealth.

Key Skills and Experience:

We are looking for an individual who has experience in a client facing or service delivery role, ideally within a major event, sport, hospitality, or international operations context.

You will have excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, with confidence working across diverse cultures and backgrounds.

It would be a great role for you if you have experience supporting international delegations, sports teams, or protocol-related functions or have had involvement in multi-sport Games environments.

It is desirable for the ideal candidate to be familiar with CGA operations and the role of Chef de Missions.

Why Glasgow 2026?

Joining the Glasgow 2026 team means being part of something extraordinary. As we embark on this exciting journey, we’re not just planning an event – we’re creating a new legacy for Glasgow and the Commonwealth. This is an opportunity to shape the future of major sporting events, bringing the world together for 11 days of unforgettable competition and culture.

We’re looking for well-organised, passionate, and driven people who are excited to roll up their sleeves and be part of an inclusive, forward-thinking, and sustainable Games. This is your chance to help set the new standard for global events while contributing to the city’s rich sporting legacy.
