Hub Support Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Falmouth Hub, making a difference to people's lives in Falmouth and the surrounding area. We are seeking someone who is warm and caring, to help provide a clean, stimulating and welcoming environment, running activities responsive to individuals' needs. There will also be opportunity to work as Senior Assistant relief providing cover during holidays and sickness. This will require an NVQ Level 3 in Adult care, which we can provide training for.

Outcomes
Working within Falmouth Hub, you will assisting the Hub Manager with day to day running requirements of the hub, providing support to the people attending the hub, in accordance with their wishes & care plan, as well as facilitating and participating in activities designed to:
* promote physical and mental well-being
* enhance social and communication skills
* maintain or increase independence
* encourage self-help and self-advocacy
* maintain or increase mobility
* help prevent the deterioration of mental or physical abilities
* include wide social interaction

Hours of Work: 22.5 hours per week, over four days. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
Salary: £14,741.15 per annum (£24,241 FTE)
Place of Work: Falmouth Hub, TR11 3QP. The organisation reserves the right to require you to work at such other place of business of the organisation as the organisation may from time to time reasonably require.
DBS: This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check with Adult Barred list check.

Since 2022, Age UK Cornwall & The Isles of Scilly, Partners (including Chaos Group, Volunteer Cornwall, Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change, and others) and Integrated Care Board have been working together to improve access to services, with the aim of reducing demand on acute services.
