We're looking for a qualified MOT Technician (Class 4 & 7) to join a busy and professional workshop team in Burton upon Trent.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tester who takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work while maintaining the highest standards of road safety and compliance.
What you'll be doing:
* Carrying out MOT tests on Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles in line with DVSA standards
* Identifying and recording defects, failures and advisories accurately
* Using approved MOT testing equipment and MTS systems
* Communicating test results clearly with colleagues and customers
* Completing authorised repairs relating to MOT failures where required
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised testing environment
* Ensuring full compliance with DVSA procedures and audit requirements
* Supporting workshop technicians with MOT preparation when needed
* Managing work and job progress through the workshop management system
What we need:
* Valid MOT Tester Licence for Class 4 & 7 vehicles
* Previous experience in an MOT testing or workshop environment
* Strong knowledge of DVSA testing procedures and regulations
* Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills
* Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable skills:
* NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
* Diagnostic and fault-finding experience
* Experience working across multiple vehicle brands
* Hybrid and xsngvjr EV awareness or training
* Familiarity with dealer management or workshop systems
