We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Stockport Vets for Pets team in providing high-quality veterinary care to animals.
We are a general practice clinic based in Stockport, Cheshire with a large caseload, 3 surgical theatres, 1 dental room, dental radiography, radiography, ultrasound. We have an experienced and very supportive nursing and animal care team. We are a thriving and well-respected practice with high clinical standards and a large, bonded client based, established since 2001.
This a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress into a student nurse role in the future.
This is a Full Time role working 40 hours per week, including 1 in 6 weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in handling and restraining animals during examinations and procedures
Assist our Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses in various tasks to ensure the well-being of our furry patients
Prepare examination rooms and surgical suites for procedures
Perform basic laboratory procedures such as blood draws and urinalysis
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the clinic, including animal housing areas
Monitor animal patients post-surgery and provide appropriate care
The Attributes Required
Previous experience in this role is essential
A passion for working with animals and providing compassionate care
Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions effectively
Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and colleagues
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as required
