Starting salary for this role will be Soulbury Range 4‑9 (starting at 5) plus 3 SPA points (pro rata for part‑time colleagues). This role sits within a well defined pay band, offering clear progression as you grow your career at BCP. Without exception all new starters begin at the entry point of the band, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organisation. About the Role
* Apply psychology to improve outcomes, promote inclusion, and support emotional wellbeing for children and young people.
* Use family‑ and child‑centred approaches, working collaboratively with parents, schools, and partners.
* Help the Council meet statutory duties for vulnerable children, including those with SEND and disabilities.
* Stay current with professional practice while managing your workload effectively.
* Contribute creatively as part of a supportive, collaborative team.
* Deliver high‑quality traded services to schools, including consultation, assessment, intervention and progress monitoring.
* Deliver inclusive practice through co‑production and a Graduated Response to SEND.
* Offer professional advice to the SEN Team, including involvement in complex casework and tribunals.
* Provide safeguarding‑compliant, child‑centred support at all times.
* Deliver professional development and contribute to critical incident response for educational settings.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications
* Honours degree in Psychology or equivalent.
* A recognised qualification in Educational Psychology (or be currently in training).
Experience & Knowledge
* Experience delivering a broad range of Educational Psychology casework.
* Experience in delivering training, promoting inclusion, and working with vulnerable children.
* Strong understanding of psychological assessments, SEND legislation and multi‑agency working.
Personal Qualities

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Motivation to support others and drive positive outcomes for all children.
* Commitment to inclusion and valuing diversity.
Job Requirements
* HCPC registration (or eligibility).
* Enhanced DBS check with Child Barred List.
* Ability to travel across the area (use of public transport or full UK driving licence with vehicle access).
