Role: Information Governance Transformation Officer

Network IT is recruiting for an
Information Governance Transformation Officer
to lead the operational clean-up and process optimisation our clients IG function. Reporting directly to the
Information Governance Manager,
this role will play a critical part in restoring structure, compliance, and visibility across information governance practices.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys
bringing order to complexity
, redesigning processes, and embedding sustainable governance frameworks. You'll conduct diagnostic assessments of legacy documentation and workflows, introduce new templates and standards, and work closely with departments to ensure adoption through
training, engagement, and practical rollout
.
Key Responsibilities
You'll be central to transforming how Information Governance operates day-to-day — not just identifying what's wrong, but
fixing it and ensuring people follow new ways of working
.
* Audit legacy IG documentation (DPIAs, breach logs, asset registers), identifying duplication, risks, and inefficiencies.
* Redesign and implement improved processes, workflows, and templates to drive consistency and compliance.
* Work with departments to embed new practices through training, coaching, and documentation.
* Provide insight and recommendations to the IG Manager to inform policy and strategic decisions.
* Act as a bridge between governance strategy and operational delivery, helping shape a culture of ownership and accountability.
Experience Requirements
This role suits someone who is both analytical and people-focused — able to break down complex processes and
influence colleagues to adopt better ways of working

* Proven experience improving governance, audit, data, or compliance-related processes.
* Strong understanding of
Information Governance frameworks and standards
(e.g. GDPR, DPIAs, data handling).
* Hands-on ability to analyse processes and redesign them into scalable, efficient workflows.
* Proficient in
Microsoft 365 tools
, ideally including
SharePoint or Power BI
.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — able to translate technical or regulatory concepts into
plain English
for non-technical colleagues.
* Proactive mindset with a drive to deliver
practical, scalable improvements
