About the Role
We are seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer to join our progressive, award-winning Fire Engineering team in our London office as part of the 2026 Graduate Programme. You will help deliver sustainable projects that positively impact our communities, planet, and society.
Our Fire Engineering team has earned a reputation for delivering technically excellent work. From concept to construction, our expertise helps optimise design and ensure complex buildings meet regulatory compliance. We have extensive experience across public sector, residential, commercial, industrial, and high-hazard process projects. We provide engineering services throughout every stage of development—from site appraisal through planning, design, and delivery.
Our projects will inspire you, build your confidence, and enable you to take on significant challenges throughout your career.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver fire engineering design across a range of projects.
* Provide early-stage strategic input to design.
You will work with the support and guidance of your manager and senior colleagues. We provide comprehensive fire safety services to clients across all project stages.
About You
At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. You will have a degree and/or master’s in a relevant engineering discipline with modules relating to Fire Safety and Fire Engineering, and a strong interest in the built environment. You’ll thrive in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team focused on sustainability, technical excellence, and shaping construction in the UK and overseas.
Attributes We Value
* An Adapter: Remain calm in new and changing situations, comfortably switching between a variety of dynamic and exciting tasks.
* A Perseverer: Stay composed in the face of setbacks, approaching challenges with confidence and determination.
* A Collaborator: Work effectively with diverse teams, considering others’ perspectives to shape better outcomes.
* A Problem-Solver: Offer thoughtful insights and challenge conventional thinking where appropriate.
Working Pattern
Graduates are asked to be in the office a minimum of four days per week to ensure you receive time with your team and the appropriate level of support.
What We Offer
* A competitive salary.
* Private medical insurance.
* A range of benefits, including holiday buy and sell, group income protection, and life assurance.
* Permanent employment contract demonstrating our commitment to your long-term career at Stantec.
* Professional progression plan, supporting you to attain professional status.
* A supportive and collaborative team environment, Early Careers peer group, and wider ERG network.
