Science Technician Immediate startExcellent rates of payPart time work patternEnterprise & Science Specialist SchoolSuitable for an experienced Science TechnicianGreat opportunity for a Science Graduate with lab experience looking to develop a career in schools A Science Technician is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in Lewisham, South East London. This will be a part time long term Science Technician position with scope to go permanent. The timetable will be 3 days a week for this Science Technician post and the school is flexible on what days they can offer. Responsibilities for this Science Technician role will include but not be limited to: Assisting and preparing practical lessons alongside the Science TeachersEnsuring equipment and materials are safely stored when not in useGuiding staff and pupils in correct Health & Safety policiesMaintaining and repairing all resources when requiredKeeping track of what is out of stock and making the necessary orders when neededDisposing of hazardous waste in a safe manner The rates of pay for this Science Technician position will be between £15 to £17 per hour depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant. The School An 'Outstanding' Secondary School & Sixth Form in the London Borough of Lewisham. It is a mixed, 11 - 18, non-selective school with a wide demographic of pupils and staff. 90% of students stay in education or employment after Key Stage 4. The site has its own dedicated SEN Support Centre and a variety of sports facilities. Ofsted have noted there is positive culture of learning and a strong sense of community. Requirements You're welcome to apply if you're a recent Science Graduate or experienced Science Technician. Applications are also welcome if you're British trained Science Technician or overseas trained Science Technician.
