We are a small specialist engineering company situated on the Calleva Park Estate, Tadley, currently seeking a Buyer for a full-time (40hrs per wk) permanent position to support our company's growth.
Responsibilities
Place orders with our approved suppliers in a timely and cost effective manner (orders will be suggested by our MRP system or raised as a result of a manual requisition).
* Ensure our MRP system data is updated, as required, to facilitate planning.
* Review cost price variances and recommend follow up actions.
* Identify and carry out purchasing reviews.
* Onboard new vendors.
* Track and pro-actively expedite late orders.
* Assist generally with other tasks that facilitate the smooth running of our materials' function.
All to agreed standards.
Desired Work Experience and Skills
* A minimum of 2 years' experience of buying, ideally in a fast-moving technical environment.
* MRP literate and well versed in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of MRP software (SAGE/CIM50 ideal but not essential) or a very quick learner who is comfortable with systems).
* Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable working with others at all levels, both within our company and its supply chain.
* Self-motivated and organised.
* Be able to work within set processes and instructions.
* At ease with working within a small team as part of a fast-moving SME.
* Some flexibility in terms of working hours.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
