Secondary Teaching Assistant needed in Salford via Step Teachers! Step Teachers are looking for a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding special needs school in Salford, supporting students aged 11-19 with Autism and Complex Needs. Main Info
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, starting ASAP. The role is long-term with the potential to become permanent. Pay ranges from £95 to £105 per day depending on experience, and we pay through PAYE only - no umbrella companies. From week 13 of your placement, you\'ll also receive equal pay to permanent staff. We\'ll also refund your DBS cost after 20 days of work.
Responsibilities
* Work with students on a one-to-one and small group basis to support access to learning and help them achieve their potential.
* Support pupils with social, emotional or behavioural needs through encouragement, structure and positive reinforcement.
* Collaborate with class teachers, the SENCO, parents and external professionals to create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
* Record observations, behaviours and safeguarding concerns as part of your responsibilities.
About the School
You\'ll be joining a supportive SEN school with small class sizes of no more than ten pupils and four staff, so teamwork and collaboration are key. The school has a strong ethos of empathy, respect and inclusion, ensuring that every student is valued and supported. Located in Salford, it\'s easily accessible by train and bus, with free on-site parking available.
