Salary: £80,000-£95,000+

PQE Level: 8+ PQE

A highly regarded national firm is seeking a senior contentious probate specialist to join its Thames Valley practice, with flexibility to be based in either Reading or Oxford. This strategic appointment offers the opportunity to lead and shape the firm's contentious trusts and estates offering across the region. The role will sit at the intersection of the litigation and private client teams, allowing for a tailored focus depending on individual strengths and experience.

The Role

You’ll advise on the full spectrum of contentious probate matters, including:

• Challenges to wills and trusts
• Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act
• Disputes involving executors, trustees, and beneficiaries
• Capacity and undue influence claims
• Estate administration disputes

The firm is open to candidates at Legal Director level or Senior Associates ready to step up. Partner-level applicants will also be considered where there is a strong strategic and cultural fit.
