Field Sales Executive (Mandarin-Speaking)
Location: Birmingham
Team: The Chinese Category team collaborates with UKI Commercial teams to enhance Deliveroo’s performance across four nations. We specialize in local markets, from Brighton to Belfast. As part of this team, you will sign up top restaurants in your city/region. Regional UKI offers significant growth opportunities, and we are building a team of experienced professionals to realize our potential. You will work within Birmingham and report to the London Chinese Category Client Partner.
The Role: This position offers a chance to grow within a competitive market. Your responsibilities include building relationships with new Chinese restaurant partners, enhancing our customer proposition, and supporting rapid growth. It is ideal for someone passionate about relationship-building.
Requirements: A valid driving license and access to a car are preferred, as travel around Birmingham and surrounding areas will be necessary. This role involves significant on-the-road activity rather than traditional office work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurants efficiently within your region, becoming a city-level expert.
2. Communicate in Chinese via visits, emails, calls, and social media to demonstrate Deliveroo technology.
3. Manage the restaurant onboarding process for speed and efficiency.
4. Ensure restaurant success within the first eight weeks of signing.
5. Sample food from high-quality establishments.
6. Attend restaurant and food meet-ups.
KPIs:
* Number of restaurants signed monthly.
* Performance of signed restaurants in the first three months.
Required Skills:
* Fluency in Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus.
* Comfort with targeting and approaching new businesses.
* Strong negotiation skills to structure mutually beneficial deals.
* Commercial understanding of food delivery economics for restaurants and Deliveroo.
* Excellent communication skills across face-to-face, phone, and email interactions.
* Ability to demonstrate product and industry knowledge.
* Ownership mindset and ability to meet demanding targets.
* Interest in food and restaurants.
* Tenacity and motivation to achieve results.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
