An exciting vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Dietitian to work as a Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian for Morecambe Bay Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This part-time (0.5 WTE) post would ideally suit a specialist Dietitian looking to advance their skills and knowledge or an experienced Dietitian with relevant clinical experience.
Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to a satisfactory 6-month probationary period, providing an opportunity to familiarize with the role and working environment.
Applicants must be HCPC registered dietitians. The post is based at Furness General Hospital, Barrow, and will require travel to other sites and clinics.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will manage a complex caseload of paediatric patients with diabetes. You will join a supportive team of consultants, specialist nurses, dietitians, dietetic assistants, and administrative staff providing services across social and healthcare boundaries. Collaboration with the paediatric diabetes team, dietitians, and other professionals in both acute and primary care is essential.

We operate from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, and Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal, along with community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and RLI offer a range of hospital services, including emergency departments, critical care, and consultant-led services. WGH provides general hospital services, an urgent treatment centre, and outpatient and inpatient care. We also provide outreach services and diagnostics across Morecambe Bay.

Education and qualifications
* Postgraduate Paediatric and/or Diabetes Dietetic qualification
* Leadership/first-line management training
Experience
* Post-registration paediatric dietetic experience at a specialist level or above
