Senior Nursery Room Leader (Third in charge) – Location: Raised in Bristol at Felix Road Adventure Playground. Salary: £29,848 per annum. Full time (40 hours with 1 hour paid lunch break).

The setting has 62 places, offering a relaxed feel. The nursery is housed in a timber-framed building overlooking Felix Road Adventure Playground in Easton. It has a homely atmosphere with rooms that have free-flow access to the refurbished garden space. We offer play-led learning in a space prioritising a nurturing environment with a focus on nature and nutrition as children take their first steps towards school.
Located just a 5-minute walk from Stapleton Road and Lawrence Hill Roundabout, with regular bus links across Bristol, a 10-minute walk from Stapleton Road train station and easy access by bike. Free on-street parking is available in the local area.

What you’ll do
This role supports the Nursery Manager and Deputy Nursery Manager and is ideal for someone looking to progress their Early Years career into nursery management. You’ll be an inspiring and qualified Senior Room Leader who can bring energy and passion to your work, supporting the nursery management team and getting the best out of the wider team. You’ll be a great communicator with parents, children and team members.
You’ll be a qualified Early Years Practitioner, Educator, or Teacher in Bristol seeking an exciting role that makes a real difference. To apply, you will need a relevant qualification in Early Years – NNEB, NVQ Level 3+ Diploma (Childcare & Education), BTEC (Childcare) or equivalent, or a higher qualification such as QTS, Foundation Degree or BA Hons in Early Years Education or Child Development. A Level 3 Award in Early Years Education does not count toward the DFE’s required Level 3 qualification for staffing ratios.
You’ll need the right to work in the UK and the ability to reliably commute to the nursery. We currently cannot sponsor foreign nationals for work visas. International applicants with an early years qualification awarded outside the UK should apply for an Early Years Statement from Ecctis Early Years Service before we can process the application.
