To be responsible for the collation, collection and inputting of the patient activity data required to monitor and quality assure complex knee service in the trust. Also to carry out all administrative duties, in relation to the complex knee pathway, ensuring appropriate records are maintained.
Main duties of the job include:
* The ability to process and check large sets of data, running quality checks to identify any gaps in individual patient records and ensuring all missing data is retrieved and entered into the database.
* Facilitation of STAR Care pathway (Support & treatment After Joint Replacement).
* Identify suitable patients through screening, facilitation, delivery & organisation of the assessment clinics & management of clinic letters & referrals.
* The skills to have the flexibility and confidence to work independently unsupervised and on own initiative in departments and clinics across the two hospital sites.
* The ability to liaise with various specialist teams, clinical coders, medical records staff, pathologists, radiologists etc. both within NBT and those in external organisations.
* The skills to ensure suitability and practicality of new computerised systems, evaluating them at the discretion of the management, and checking whether these meet the needs of collation and collection of minimum datasets
* To be responsible for the efficient collection of the Complex Knee Waiting Times and minimum datasets, and entry of this information onto the database.
* To provide general administrative duties to the Complex Knee Network teams, to include photocopying, filing, basic clerical duties, distributing documents quickly and efficiently, and the collection of notes.
* To prepare regular reports to the clinical team on their performance in relation to national guidelines and take part in local and national audits as required.
* To represent the Trust, at local, regional and national Complex Knee Network information meetings, to further the post holder's development and enable accurate and detailed data collection.
* Work with information analysts to produce reports and validate data.
* Maintain good working relationships with Clinicians, Specialist Nurses, clerical and secretarial staff
* Maintaining a record of patients involved in both STAR and PJI.
* To update information on the Bone and Joint Infection Registry (BAJIR) if appropriate
Essential criteria include GCSE in English & Maths and RTT/NHS Experience.
Desirable criteria include MS Office (Excel & Teams) and Careflow System experience.
