Job Summary
Clinical Practice Facilitator for Recovery and DSU working with the UCLH Theatre and Anaesthesia team.
Responsibilities
* Monitor, implement and evaluate learning programmes for recovery and DSU staff.
* Facilitate clinical supervision and mentor learners in the recovery and DSU settings.
* Provide specialist clinical leadership and support the training and development programme.
* Implement best practice in assessment and supervision of learners.
* Ensure effective use of E‑rota and electronic patient records.
* Maintain a visible clinical presence in the department as required.
Qualifications
* Registered Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) or NMC registered Nurse with relevant experience.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Extensive experience in an immediate post‑operative setting.
* Recognised teaching or mentorship qualification.
* Good working knowledge of CQC standards and compliance.
* Computer literacy (email, PowerPoint, Excel).
* Experience delivering teaching via virtual and mixed learning platforms.
Essential Skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work well under pressure.
* Strong knowledge of clinical governance, evidence‑based practice and current health‑care issues.
* Proficiency in health, safety and security best practice.
* Experience with audit, clinical governance and service development.
Additional Details
Band 6, Permanent, Full‑time. Salary £47,951 to £56,863 per annum inclusive of HCAS.
